Privacy Policy
Last updated 24 Oct 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Clint Glenane, trading as Savannah Bytes (sole proprietor) ("Savannah Bytes", "we", "us") handles information in connection with the Spacepop mobile game (the "Game"). We are the responsible party under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and, where it applies, the data controller under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For our website, see the Savannah Bytes Privacy Policy.
Summary
Spacepop does not collect, store or share any personal information. The Game has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics, no in-app purchases and does not connect to the internet. Your progress and settings are saved only on your own device.
Information stored on your device
The Game saves your progress and settings locally on your device so you can continue where you left off. This information never leaves your device and we cannot access it. You can delete it at any time — see Your Data & Deletion.
Purchases through Google Play
Spacepop is sold through Google Play. Google processes your payment and handles your Google account information under the Google Privacy Policy. Google shares limited order information with us — such as an order number, country, date and amount — which we use only for accounting, tax and handling refund or support queries. We never receive your payment card details.
When you contact us
If you email us at support@savannahbytes.com, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message. We use this only to respond to you. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to resolve your request and for reasonable record-keeping, and we delete it on request.
Children
Spacepop is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. The Game does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Sharing and international transfers
We do not sell, rent or share personal information. The only personal information we may hold in connection with the Game is email correspondence and Google Play order information, which is stored with our email and service providers. Some of these providers may store information outside South Africa; where that happens we rely on providers that offer adequate protection as required by POPIA and the GDPR.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to request a copy of it. Residents of California have similar rights under the CCPA; we do not sell or share personal information as defined by that law.
To exercise any right, email support@savannahbytes.com. We will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa or, in the EU/UK, with your local data protection authority.
Security
Because the Game keeps your data on your device, its security depends on your device. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited information we hold, such as email correspondence.
Changes to this policy
If the Game changes in a way that affects your privacy (for example, adding online features), we will update this policy before the change is released and update the "last updated" date above.
